Huge MAC, Drugstore, Great Glam & Forever 21 Haul + Swatches!

Hi Dolls!

Sorry for the lack of posts, but I'm thinking about quitting blogging all together. Some of my favourite bloggers have made some really judgemental posts about certain makeup styles that I (and many others) happen to like. Its discouraging- I mean we shouldn't make fun of somebody's preference if we happen not to like it. Believe me, there are some makeup preferences I don't like as well, but I don't make posts saying how 'tacky' or 'stupid' (not my words) I think certain makeup choices are- I keep it to myself. Something for bloggers to keep in mind....... sometimes certain words can offend faithful readers. Makeup is an art, and a choice-

. . . . . . . . . . . .

Moving on, I didn't really do much shopping until the last 2 weeks. I also was thrilled that my boyfriend was staying at his current job & not going North- he got a promotion which was so wonderful!

Anywho, he had his 1 week vacation last week, so we did a ton of shopping! I finally went to a MAC store (its been 2 years!) & got rid of 24 back to MAC empties. In return, I got an Eyeshadow, 2 Lipsticks, and 1 Lipglass. I also purchased a full size of the Oil Control Lotion, & the Fast Response Eye cream. I really love MAC's skincare products, both have become staples for me. Oh and I also purchased Well Dressed blush- ( I couldn't get a decent swatch of Well Dressed- it barely showed up!)

Here are some photo's & swatches! (Please excuse the quality, my camera really isn't as great as I thought- I have been looking to getting one in the $500.00 range)

I had so much fun at the MAC store, unfortunately we got to the mall a little late & I didn't have much time to browse. So when I got home I purchased some MAC Eyeshadow Pro Pans online, I had swatched some of these at the store and loved them :) plus they had free express shipping!

(swatched over NYX's eyeshadow base in White)

As I mentioned above, I also got a brush from Sigma. Sigma brushes have always interested me, but I already have lots of staple MAC brushes so I never bothered ordering. They had a free shipping Promo, so I purchased the F82 Round Top Kabuki. It was packaged very nicely, and the brush is wonderful! I love it for buffing out foundation, and powder.

Lastly, I purchased some dresses from Great Glam, & a blazer & makeup bags from Forever21- and some products from Sally's. I'm really happy with the Serum I got from Sally's- it smells so yummy, & it really perks up your skin.

I highly suggest this Serum, its by far the best I have found so far. It doesn't leave a greasy feel to your skin.

The usual's for Platinum Blonde!

I purchased the following dresses from Great Glam, they got rid of their free international shipping :(

I saw leggings like these at my mall!

I'm kind of getting tired of Great Glam, lately all the styles have looked identical- I think this will be my last haul from them for awhile.

I haven't made a Haul from F21 since Summer, so I thought I would browse the site & I found a few cute items.

Love this blazer! the back has a cute ruffle.

I bought these to match/offset my Traincase. I like keeping my brushes, eyeliners, mascara etc...
in little makeup bags

I also scored some makeup and skincare products from LW (this is basically a Canadain version of Big Lots)

The Ponds moisturiser is amazing! it really keeps your skin oil free all day- I use it at night with my heavier night cream. I find when mixed, my heavier cream doesn't feel as greasy. The Revlon foundation was only $1.50! so I had to try it, and who doesn't love Lip Smackers?! reminds me of my teen years :)

What have you been hauling this month?

Update + MAC & and Great Glam Haul!

Hi Ladies!

its been awhile since I blogged, and I'm ready to get back into it. I've been spending some major quality time with my boyfriend this month because at the end of the November he is going up North for an amazing job opportunity. I'm going to miss him to death :( but I'm supporting him because he wants to be more financially stable & healthy- and while his current job is great, he can't handle the air of the shop he works in :( his Asthma is getting worse, and his doctor advised that his lungs need some major TLC- his new job will be mostly outside, so he's looking forward to it- but of course we will miss each other. Luckily he'll be coming back home for a few days out of each month. I'm going to miss our late night movies, cuddles, kisses, shopping adventures and food escapades. Yep I'm getting mushy, but that's how we are :)

*my baby isn't leaving! 2 days after this post he got a promotion!*

Moving on, I wanted to share some hauls. I didn't purchase much for makeup this past month. I have however been stalking Ebay daily! I have found some amazing items (mostly accessories, fashions) for so insanely cheap, and good quality. Maybe I'll share a few future Ebay hauls in the future.

For now here is a small haul from MAC and Great Glam!

I adore this Skinfinish, I like to use it to blend out my contour :)

I hope all of you are doing well!

Chanel & MAC Haul + Swatches!

I cannot begin to express how excited I was when my order from arrived 2 days ago! I was beyond thrilled with their delivery time (10 days) and adorable packaging (purple wrap & a cute Thank You card!) ....needless to say, I will be ordering again :)

I have always been curious about Chanel Products, and I always have wanted to try them out. However, I only have a handful of larger department store brands in my area- so I usually by most of my makeup online. I searched where to buy Chanel online (since the actual website doesn't ship to Canada) and found Strawberrynet- they have tons of high end brands, and fairly decent prices (although some of the prices are a bit high) ..... Anywho, after Googling some shade swatches, I purchased the Chanel Poudre Universelle. I heard lots about this product through Youtube and Makeup Alley. I have yet to try this, but I will be doing so tomorrow. I truly hope it works for me.

Along with the powder, I received a free Stila Smudge Pot in the shade 'Sky' -
it was basically dried out, but eye drops perked it right back up. The only Stila product I own is a 'Stila Loves Barbie' Smudgepot, and its a really awful product :( but the packaging lured me in! lol

Here are some Photo's :)

. . . . . . . . . . .

Today my MAC brushes from All Cosmetics Wholesale arrived, I cannot wait to try them!

. . . . .

meanwhile, I ordered some Flat Thigh High Boots from UrbanOg-
I though they would be great for Winter, This will be my first pair of flat boots!
What can I say? I adore my high heels!

Drugstore & Camera Ready Cosmetics Haul, + Swatches ...

Is anybody else just loving the Fall Season? Something about Autumn makes me feel all warm and fuzzy :) I love lighting some Vanilla and Pumpkin spice candles, while its cloudy and windy outside.

Anywho, I was excited about trying some new Drugstore goodies. I purchased the new Maybelline Cat  Eye's Mascara & Revlon Whipped Foundation. I also tried the different version of the L'oreal Lineur Intense. I can't really give a proper review for the mascara, as I use False Lashes- but Its not bad for the lower lashes :) I'm on the hunt for a mascara that will work for lower lashes. I find many leave clumps, and leave my lower lashes looking spidery.

The foundation isn't to bad, however I find the undertone to be a little on the grey side- but once blended & set with powder, it looks nice.

As for the Lineur Intense, I don't care for it- the brush is flimsy, and its hard to go over your lash line with it (my line looked a little crooked, compared to my other Lineur Intense) ...I do love the formula though, it very black and solid. I simply dip my other Lineur Intense tip into the formula.

. . . . . . . . . . . .

Another purchase I was looking forward to was from CRC Cosmetics. I purchased the infamous Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (Shade 117) and the OCC Lip Tar in 'Cha Cha' -

I'm not going to lie, I don't like the Foundation- frankly, its quite terrible. Its watery, greasy, and has a strange scent. Also, I have really oily skin & my Kryolan Anti-Shine Powder will make pretty much any foundation last all day on me. MUFE HD was the only foundation that my Kryolan powder couldn't combat :( I'm pretty bummed, because I have heard so many positive reviews. I might just swap this on Makeup Alley. Hands down, the best foundation I have tried to date is Estee Lauder's Double Wear.

The Lip Tar is quite intense, its a pure orange. I have to say, that on Google the swatches I saw looked more peachy then pumpkin. Of course, I don't wear Lip Tars alone. I mix them with either a lipstick, gloss or both. Cha Cha doesn't look to bad when mixed with Peachstock lipstick by MAC, and NYX's Smokey Look Mega Shine Gloss. Even though I love nude lipsticks, lately I have been loving my NYX Mega Shine in Beige (a Rose/Pink colour) for Fall.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

In other fabulous news, I'm getting the Marilyn Monroe Blush 'Legendary' from MAC! I got an email from one of the amazing ladies that works for headquarters, and she told me they had 4 left in stock! even though it claimed to be sold out online. Always call MAC regarding out of stock collection items, they have a different inventory! I was so happy. I'm also thrilled that the Pro Products are now available online! I'll be purchasing the Paint Stick in Pure White soon.

I also couldn't resist ordering these shoes last night, they look so Lolita :)

Have a great weekend Dolls!
