The Brush that changed everything! Real Techniques Expert Face Brush Rave & Review!

For the last couple of years, I have been subscribed to the Pixiwoo sisters on Youtube. Awhile back, Samantha Chapman released some brushes, but since I couldn't find them in Canada, I gave up my search. A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon them at which is where I purchase Supplements. I was ecstatic! the prices are super affordable, and shipping to Canada from Iherb is only $6.00 under a $40.00 purchase. I get my purchases in genrally 10 days.

Anywho, I always see Sam and Nic using this brush for blending out their foundation, and I always liked how it blended. I have a few foundation brushes from Elf, MAC, Sedona Lace & Sigma. As of late, none of them really appealed to me for foundation, and I felt there was something better out there- I felt I got a better result just blending with my fingers, and using a flat foundation brush around my brows, and under my eyes etc....

I figured I would purchase it, along with the 'Your Eyes Enhanced' eyeshadow blending brush-

Needless to say, I am over the moon with my purchases. Below, there will be a more in Depth review of the Expert Face Brush. I love it so much, that I have ordered two more. I hope you find this review helpful!

The Review:

This brush is amazing! It is by far the best brush in my collection, my pricey MAC brushes cannot hold a candle to this brush. As soon as it arrived, I tried it with foundation, and wow- it's simply wonderful. It blends foundation so seamlessly, making it look like a second skin. I honestly would have gone out of the house without powdering or blush, because my skin looked like MY skin. Not only is this brush wonderful for foundation & concealers (liquid, creme, etc...) but I also love it for powder (MAC Studio Fix, Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, Ben Nye Banana Powder, Kryolan Anit-Shine Powder & more!)

I thought my sigma round top kabuki was the best for powder, but this one had replaced it.

It doesn't stop there. This brush is wonderful for contouring, highlighting, and blending. I wish I had purchased this brush long ago, I love MAC- but their face brushes aren't spectacular. Do not hesitate to purchase this brush. It says in the back that this brush will make your makeup look soft, even in harsh lighting- and it's true, my makeup looks so soft in fluorescent lighting. This will make foundation photograph beautifully, & for only $8.99?! there is nothing to lose- its so versatile.

I am beyond thrilled with this purchase, and it has literally replaced every face brush in my collection!

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

I truly feel this is the best brush on the market. I wish I had tried it before my Sigma and Sedona Lace purchases, but that's the world of makeup- sometimes it takes a few purchases to find that perfect fit.I have also purchased the Real Techniques blush brush- I cannot wait to try that one out as well. As for the eyeshadow brush, its wonderful as well. It blends eyeshadows very seamlessly, and its very soft. I have a few blending brushes from MAC, but I find that bulky for certain looks- the RT brush is the perfect size. I kind of wanted to purchase more brushes from the Real Techniques line, but as soon as I tried the expert face brush- I knew it would take over. I feel like my brush search is over :)

Hope this was helpful!

Lioele BB Cream Haul/Swatches & MAC Glitter Samples!

So lately, there seems to be some BB Cream craze going around. I have seen so many companies releasing them. I have heard good and bad things. I avoided trying any BB creams because I'm a full coverage girl, I like that fake look ha :)

Anywho, I have seen reviews of the Lieole BB cream on Youtube. I purchased the 'Beyond the Solution' formula from Ebay for only $12.00 + Free Shipping. It was a reasonable price, since most drugstore BB creams start at $15-$18 here. I was a little hesitant, as there was no shade choices to choose from (which is kind if silly-)

When it arrived, I was happy with the color. Its a little to dark, but I like mixing it with my NARS foundation in Siberia, that is far to pale. Mixing both creates a nice, fuller coverage. That being said, even with a primer, this BB cream is kind of greasy. Every BB cream I have tested seems greasy, and since I have oily/combination skin- its not something I reach for. This would be great for dry skin. I occasionally throw this into my routine, and with a primer + foundation/powder it does last- however, it isn't something I like. I think my this will be my last purchase ever regarding face makeup. I have my Holy Grail foundation and concealers (recently discovered an amazing concealer I have been loving!) and really don't need to try anything else. The seller I purchased this from sent it very quickly, and with lots of samples- which was nice.

Here are some photographs-

I also recently got a few glitter samples from The Beauty Sampler. Sometimes I like glitter for a night out, or just for a little sparkle all over the eye. I like the Reflect Glitters, because they aren't to over the top. I'm sorry, I have no swatches of these because my camera wasn't doing them any justice-  they picked up better in the jars.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

I have a few very exciting hauls/reviews coming up. Instead of just posting a haul now, I will add a review along with it. I plan on testing out the product for awhile, so I can give an in depth review.

NYX Haul with Swatches + Great Glam

So I made some really random hauls this month from a few companies. I was hearing raves about NYX's new Matte Bronzer, and I had to try it out. The current bronzer I occasionally use is MAC's Golden, its has a slight shimmer to it- which I really don't mind, as I use it as a light contour. However, I was still curious about the NYX Bronzer. I purchased the shade Medium on sale on Cherry Culture, and I love it! I love using it as a contour, and even a blush to warm up my face. I can see this product becoming a staple for me in Summer when I'm a little darker.

I also purchased NYX's Mosaic Highlighter, in the shade 'Highlighter' .....

I had this product 2 years ago, and really liked it. It gives a really nice sheen to the skin.

Swatches of the products (taken outside) -

Great Glam Haul:

I really liked all of these, and I'm looking forward to getting them. I have to admit the catsuit was a complete impulse purchase, I probably won't wear it out- but it reminded me of something Nicki Minaj wore in one of her music videos heh :)

I also received the Train Case I mentioned in my last post, and I love it! I was able to fit all of my makeup into it nicely, and I still have a ton of space left. I really should have purchased it right away. I also love how the the lining is velvet, that way your products don't slip around during travel. I also paid way less then what I would have paid on Yazmo.

Sedona Lace ' Midnight Lace ' Brushes & MAC goodies!

So after purchasing and falling in love with the Sigma Round Top Kabuki, I wanted to try the other version from Sedona Lace. I also figured I would purchase the Flat Top Angled Brush as well. They both arrived in the mail a few days ago, and they are adorable looking (I love the Pink!) I also was pleasantly surprised when Sedona Lace added in 4 complimentary eyeshadows as well- it was a nice pick me up. Unfortunately the pans are not magnetized, so I currently have been keeping them in the sleeves they arrived in. The colours are very richly pigmented, I have yet to test them wearing them out all day. I thought it was sweet of them to include a little gift-

I also haven't been able to properly test out the brushes- I will give a proper review once I have used them more then once. I can say that the Sigma Round Top is far more dense then the Sedona Lace Round Top- other then that, the Sedona Lace brushes are amazing so far. Shipping was so reasonable, it was around $5.00 and the brushes took about 2 weeks to arrive. They where wrapped in a purple sleeve pouch, both brushes came with plastic protectors and a brochure about the Midnight Lace Collection.

Meanwhile, my MAC lust hasn't gotton under control haha :)

I purchased the Porcelain Pink Mineralize Skinfinish from the Apres Chic collection. I really wanted this MSF, and I believe this is the second? or possibly third time it has been released. Anyway, I never was able to order it in time. Luckily, it didn't seem to sell out fast this time. The Stereo Rose MSF was sold out quickly, but I already own it (and I never really reach for it) ........ I also purchased the Chromaline in ' Black Black ' ....One of my favorite Youtubers uses this, and I wanted to see how it compares to the Blacktrack Fluidline. Its pretty much identical in terms of texture and pigmentation, but its the size of a Paint Pot! and only a few dollars more :)

(I didn't bother taking a photograph as its just basic packaging)

The MSF is quite nice- it leaves a very light shimmer, its not to shimmery so it doesn't look to overdone. It actually looks nice when lightly applied all over the face for a natural glow.

I have many hauls arriving, including a new Stackable Traincase! I found an Ebay seller that carried the exact same one that I found on Yazmo! but for a much better price + they are only an hour away from me! so I'll probably get it Monday or Tuesday. My collection keeps growing, ad I really regret not getting a Stackable Traincase right away. Here's a preview!

I can carry way more then makeup in this Traincase to if I have to travel anywhere- so excited!

Hope all of you had a great weekend!
